1. About the Program

The Indian Architectural Plumbing League (IAPL) is a first-of-its-kind academic–industry initiative jointly organized by the Council of Architecture and the Indian Plumbing Association.

The program aims to bridge the gap between architectural design intent and practical plumbing execution by equipping participants with knowledge of sustainable plumbing systems, water management practices, and coordination strategies in building projects.

The program includes interactive sessions, expert lectures, industry exposure, and a guided site visit to provide participants with practical and implementation-oriented learning.

2. About the Council of Architecture (CoA)

The Council of Architecture (CoA) is a statutory body constituted by the Government of India under the Architects Act, 1972, functioning under the Ministry of Education, Department of Higher Education.

The Council is responsible for regulating architectural education and professional practice in India, maintaining the register of architects, prescribing standards of education and practice, and ensuring compliance with professional ethics and conduct.

Registration with the Council is mandatory for any individual intending to practice architecture and use the title “Architect” in India.

The CoA also oversees architectural institutions across the country through prescribed regulations, inspections, and monitoring mechanisms to maintain the minimum standards of architectural education.

3. About the Indian Plumbing Association (IPA)

The Indian Plumbing Association (IPA), established in 1993 under the leadership of Shri S. G. Deolalikar, is a leading professional body dedicated to advancing the plumbing industry in India through education, training, awareness, and industry collaboration.

IPA promotes sustainable plumbing practices, water conservation, sanitation standards, and technical excellence within the built environment sector.

With 28 chapters across the country as of June 2025, the Association continues to work towards its vision of “Better Plumbing for Better Living.”

4. Eligibility

The program is open to:

  • Architects
  • Engineers
  • Architecture Students
  • Professionals from allied disciplines

5. Program Duration & Venue

  • Duration: 1st – 4th June 2026 (Sessions at Jacaranda Hall), 5th June 2026 (Site Visit)
  • Timing: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Venue: Jacaranda Hall, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi

6. Attendance Requirements

  • Participants are required to attend all scheduled sessions during the program.
  • Attendance will be monitored on all five days.
  • Participation in the guided site visit is mandatory.
  • Late entry or early exit may affect eligibility for certification.

7. Certification Criteria

Participants will receive a joint participation certificate from the Council of Architecture and the Indian Plumbing Association upon:

  • Successful completion of the program
  • Completion of EOPT/assessment requirements
  • Submission of the feedback form
  • Fulfillment of attendance requirements

8. Registration & Participation Fee

  • Participation Fee: Rs. 10,000/-
  • Registration shall be considered complete only after successful fee payment and confirmation.

9. Program Conduct

Participants are expected to:

  • Maintain professional conduct throughout the program
  • Actively participate in sessions and discussions
  • Follow instructions issued by the coordinators and organizers
  • Maintain decorum during the site visit and interactive sessions
